Everyone is suddenly talking about Piers Morgan’s wife Celia Waden, and she’s likely just as surprised as the rest of us. The journalist and novelist came up during an interview between her husband and infamous influencer Harrison Sullivan, known as HSTikkyTokky, who was heavily featured in the new Netflix documentary Inside the Manosphere.

While everyone dissects the confrontation between the two men, interest in Celia Waden (and her marriage to Morgan) has piqued.

Why did Piers Morgan end the interview?

Morgan was questioning Sullivan this week on his homophobic remarks made in the documentary Louis Theroux: Inside The Manosphere, with the influencer saying he would “disown” his son if he were gay.

The interview then took a turn when Sullivan made false claims about Morgan, and things got heated.

“I watched the documentary, and I think you’re a f–king idiot,” Morgan said to Sullivan on his Piers Morgan Uncensored show.

“I think you’re a sexist, misogynist, homophobic twerp who got exposed in a global way by Netflix, by Louis Theroux, for what you are. You’re a little halfwit,” Morgan said.

Sullivan then retaliated by pulling up a photo of Celia Waden from her Instagram – one of her lying by a pool in 2022 beside a sign that read, ‘Wanted: pool boy. No experience needed’.

“As soon as you’re away – what is this? ‘Applications are open?’ That’s your ting, bro. That’s your girl. Cooked,” Sullivan said.

In response, Morgan stood up and said: “Let’s end this. I’m not doing this, guys, it’s pointless.”

What do we know about Celia Waden?

Many have been intrigued by who Piers Morgan’s wife is as he’s been described as a shock jock over the years, often making questionable remarks himself.

Waden, 50, was born in Paris but grew up in England, and she became a journalist in London.

Waden and Morgan both worked at The Daily Telegraph together, but first met in 2006 when Morgan was doing a public speech that went horribly.

While Morgan struggled to deliver the speech, Waden’s response left Morgan wondering who she was.

“I absolutely died on my backside to the extent that they were openly jeering me, and the only person that was laughing was Celia, who I’d never met, and I went, ‘Who’s that?'” Morgan told Heart FM in 2019.

“She said, ‘That just bombed,’ and I said, ‘I thought that was hilarious,’ but she was laughing really at my discomfort,” Morgan explained. “So I realised then that she would be perfect bride material!”

The couple got married in 2010 in Swinbrook, England and share one child together, 14-year-old Elise.

Elise is the youngest of four, with Morgan fathering three sons during his first marriage.

Waden is a features writer and columnist for The Daily Telegraph, and she has written a number of books – both fiction and non-fiction.

The couple now live between London, Sussex and Los Angeles.
