The Trainwreck actor— who was nominated for best performance by an actor in a musical or comedy television series for his titular role in “Barry”—and the OC alum made their first public appearance as a couple on the red carpet last night. Moments after stepping out, they were pictured holding hands while looking adoringly into each other’s eyes… SO CUTE!
News of their romance comes weeks after the now-couple was snapped grabbing a coffee at Starbucks in Bill’s hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma. While little was known about their relationship at that point, many suspected the pair were more than friends seeing as Rachel spent Christmas with SNL star’s family. More fuel was added to the dating fire when they were recently spotted running errands in L.A. together!
Rachel and Bill previously starred together in the 2013 romantic comedy, The To Do List. At the time, Bill was married to the film’s director, Maggie Carey, who he wed in 2006. The former couple, who share three children together— Hayley Clementine, 5, Harper, 7, and Hannah Kathryn, 10— announced they’d called time on their marriage in 2018 more than 11 years after tying the knot.
According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, the couple secretly separated on July 31, 2017.
Two months after Bill filed for divorce from his wife— citing irreconcilable differences as the cause of their split— they reached an agreement in their separation. Details of their arrangement included child support, child custody and visitation, spousal support, property division and attorneys fees and costs.
During this period, Rachel was dating and later announced her engagement to fellow actor Hayden Christensen. The pair, who share daughter Briar Rose together, parted ways after a decade in 2017. She was later linked to US Bachelor star Nick Viall.
