The Notebook star shares two children with her partner Jamie Linden, who was also present at the ceremony- a son, 7, and a daughter, 5.

McAdams started dating Linden in 2016, however, the story of how they met has not been revealed.
What we do know though is that the screenwriter brought McAdams as his plus-one to a friend’s wedding in June 2016.
The following month, the couple made an appearance at the San Diego Comic-Con together and cemented their relationship in the public eye.
Rachel also gave a special thanks to her partner during her speech after receiving her star on the Hollywood Boulevard… and we are obsessed.
She said: “To Jamie, my North Star, Kayleen, my other North Star, thank you for being such a great team and keeping me quasi-normal, I love you all so much. Thank you so much.”
In a previous Sunday Times interview, the actress also gushed over her family’s unconventional lifestyle.
“We live such a gypsy life as actors, so [it’s great] being with someone who can be on the road as well,” she said.
Where does Rachel McAdam live?
To ensure her kids had a “normal” upbringing, Rachel and Jamie left the bustling streets of Hollywood for a quiet life in the South.
“We live sort of out in the country, a little farm down the road, so we can go and look at the animals,” the actress revealed during the April 2020 virtual event, Heroes of Health: COVID-19 Stream-a-thon.
While speaking with The Sunday Times in November 2018, she explained that keeping her son off social media was her number one priority.
“I want to keep his life private, even if mine isn’t,” she said.
Who is Jamie Linden?
Jamie Linden is a Florida native who got his start as a screenwriter in Hollywood in 2006 when his script for We Are Marshall was turned into a movie starring Matthew McConaughey.
He also wrote the screenplay for Nicholas Sparks’ Dear John and made his directorial debut in 2011 with 10 Years.
Linden has worked with a number of Hollywood stars including George Clooney and Julia Roberts in Money Monster, and Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley in Chaos Walking.

The relationship lasted two years from 2005 until 2007, explaining the reason for their break-up in a 2007 interview with GQ, Gosling said: “When both people are in show business, it’s too much show business. It takes all of the light, so nothing else can grow.”
Toward the end of their relationship he also told the outlet, “God bless The Notebook. It introduced me to one of the great loves of my life.
