Hugely popular vegan blogger Rawvana – real name Yovana Mendoza Ayres – used to have one of the most popular channels online, until she was just busted eating fish!

The self-styled diet and lifestyle guru, who has claimed a whole range of alleged miraculous health benefits from her strict raw vegan diet, was filmed in a restaurant eating a large plate of fish.
And now the vegan world has turned on her with vengeance.
After the video hit the web, Rawvana was forced to address the issue on YouTube, in a rambling, 33-minute explanation and mia culpa, where she confessed to returning to eggs and fish ‘two months ago’.

Among other things, the 29-year-old confessed to a raft of ongoing health issues she says were first induced by a ’25-day water-only fast’.
That crazy fast, and her confession that the diet she sells as a miracle solution is not what she’s been eating in real life, once again draws attention to the murky world on online diet and lifestyle influencers, and follows a string of disturbing scandals around disgraced ex-influencers in the sector.
While many of us are sick of some of the dubious claims made by lifestyle and diet influencers online, the most angry response has come from aggrieved vegans, who have deluged her YouTube account with scathing comments.
‘Another fake vegan stealing money from the community,’ raged user wrote. ‘Making money off vegans to buy animal products. Sickening,’ another ranted.
Yovana claims she’s had plenty of support as well – but that’s not in evidence on her once popular channel.
