The 2026 season of Australian Survivor was certainly an intense one, with fans agreeing that it had higher stakes and stronger gameplay than Survivor 50 in the United States (go Aussies!).
This season was also a historic one with new host David “Golden God” Genat leading the games and tribal councils, as well as new (and old) players facing off in the ultimate game of outwitting, outplaying, and outlasting! The two tribes, Bounty and Barren, formed and broke countless alliances and now there is one winner to show for it.
After an epic grand final and contestant reunion, this season ended with a bang.

Who was crowned Sole Survivor?
The winner of Australian Survivor: Redemption is none other than Caleb.
Caleb was a fan favourite, outwitting, outplaying, and outlasting both the returning Survivor veterans and the fierce newcomers.
However, in the end, the torches were finally snuffed and the jury cast their decisive votes, finishing off this season of Survivor Australia.
With a $500,000 prize and bragging rights for the title of Sole Survivor, Caleb is definitely basking in a lot of glory.
Congratulations Caleb!

What happened in the Australian Survivor Grand Finale?
This season, the 24 players battled it out in Samoa for 45 days.
During the Grand Finale, Jackson and Caleb battled it out in one last gruelling challenge before facing the jury for a final, game-changing vote.
However, during the episode, David Genat dropped a bombshell following the final Tribal Council in Samoa and walked away before revealing the winner. This year, the winner was announced live in front of an audience, with the whole group of contestants coming together for a reunion.

The winner was revealed in front of a live audience
This year’s Australian Survivor finalists had no idea that the winners would be announced live in Sydney.
“We didn’t tell the players that there was going to be a live audience finale back in Sydney,” Channel 10 and Paramount executive producer Ciaran Flannery told TV Tonight.
“We’ve not done a live audience finale since 2020 when covid to put an end to that. That was six years ago, so none of them would have been expecting it.”
With epic live reactions, applause erupted when Caleb was announced as this year’s Sole Survivor.
