But they say all’s fair in love and war, and this is 100 percent becoming a winner-takes-all battle for Bachie Matt’s heart!
In the ep that, frankly, we have all been waiting for since the promos started teasing us last week, we finally watch in full as Abbie spills some super-spicy tea to Matt about one of the ladies in the mansion.
“Some girls were saying some things about you that were making me a bit upset,” Abbie spills during some cheeky alone time with Matt in the hot tub.
(If we’re being honest, she doesn’t look suuuper upset. But she seems kind of shaken, so let’s continue.)
“Monique, in particular… there was a phrase that was said that I want to tell you,” she continues. “But I don’t want to upset you.”
“She said that you’re a dog c— and a disrespectful pig.”
Um, excuse us… What?
That’s pretty much Matt’s reaction to the news too, as he sits topless looking stunned.
“That’s disappointing to hear that’s how some people react,” he replies, seeming not quite able to process what he’s just heard. “I do appreciate you telling me.”
Cut away to a piece to camera and Matt admits he is seriously hurt by what he’s just learnt.
“It really hurts that it came from Monique because of how I feel about her and how our date was. It hurts.”
The next day, Matt’s still shaken.
“It’s rattled me and thrown me into the wrong headspace,” he admits.
“Behind my back, Monique apparently got stuck into Abbie for kissing me at the last cocktail party.”
“The extrememness of the reaction seems a little unfair. There’s animosity towards me for dating on a dating show. The mechanics are strange… but if we weren’t comfortable with that reality, why’d you get into it in the first place?”
AT the end of the day, Matt won’t let it stop him doing what he came here to do:
“I’m here to find love and I’m not going to let this get in the way.”
