Former Bachelorette star Jamie Doran previously admitted he would be “a little bit less intense” if he ever had the chance to take part in another reality dating show.

But in the latest promo for Bachelor in Paradise, which dropped on Wednesday, we see the original “stage-five clinger’s” behaviour is anything but “less intense”.
In a scene from the upcoming season, the 39-year-old stays true to form as he leaves the islanders bemused, after promising to gift multiple roses to different girls.

“People know me as the stage-five clinger,” Jamie tells producers in his opening piece to camera, before adding: “I’m here for my second chance to find love.”
But in a follow-up scene, we see the former firefighter admit that he’s struggling to work out who to give his rose to, in the lead up to a weekly rose ceremony.
“I’ve never given a rose to somebody, so to me this is a big moment,” Jamie tells producers, before adding: “I’m a little bit confused about where my rose is going.”
A series of short sequences then shows Jaime seemingly profess his feelings to several of the women, each of whom he promises a rose.

First there is Abbie Chatfield, who simply shakes her head as Jaime says: “If you don’t get [a rose], I’ll give you one, alright!”
And then there is excitable Brittany Weldon, who lets out a loud exclamation, when Jamie says: “I kind of want to give it to Abbie, but what if I just give it to you?”
But in another scene from the promo, the 39-year-old admits: “I really wanted my rose to go to either Cass or Helena… I’d love to give it to someone like Mary.”
Speaking to the producers about Jamie’s apparent false promises, Timm Hanly says: “I think Jamie thinks he’s the Bachelor, he’s promising these roses to all these girls.”

Brittney Weldon then likens the ex-firey’s behavior to that of Oprah’s lavish giveaway nature, saying: “You get a rose, you get a rose!”
She continues: “Oh, Jamie, Jamie, Jamie… he’s promised roses to everyone,” before adding: “Yeah, what’s he going to give each person… a petal?”
Jamie concludes by telling producers: “I believe having a rose is more stressful than where you don’t have a rose,” before letting out a big sigh.
Bachelor in Paradise is coming soon to Network Ten.
