Uh-oh… this looks like more proof Bachelor Matt Agnew is pulling a Blake Garvey on us

They're declaring their love in the same place!

There has been a lot of speculation that Bachelor Matt Agnew going to pull a Blake Garvey on us and dump his winner for a runner-up (or second runner-up, if you want to split hairs).

The fact that he’s taking his girlfriends (aka final two Abbie Chatfield and Chelsie McLeod) to South Africa – just like Blake did when he was picking between Sam Frost and Lisa Hyde (and then ended up going for Louise Pillidge) – fills us with fear.

Yes, in a move some might remember (um, how could anyone forget!?), former Bachelor Blake shocked and hurt every single one of us when he dumped his chosen one (Sam) around five minutes after he proposed to the sweetheart in his 2014 season finale.

He then went on to declare his love for Louise (who’d been third-last to leave) and become one of Australian TV’s most-hated men ever.

Yes, we’re feeling a little triggered right now.

We can only hope and pray to the Bachie gods that the same fate doesn’t await Abbie or Chelsie, as Matt and the girls jet across the world for their finale.

But even he Matt doesn’t pull a Blake, we’re still guaranteed of plenty of drama, courtesy of Matt’s bestie Kate.

Remember her? The one who met the girls and didn’t like Abbie at all, and told Matt that Abbie was flying some big old red flags and that he should be careful, but he didn’t listen?

Yeah, her.

She went to South Africa, too, and boy, was she unimpressed to see old mate Abs there when she rocked up.

In the new promo for the finale, Kate can be seen telling another of Matt’s closest pals that she would be “surprised” if Abbie had made it to the end.

Cue the surprise.

And one very awkward encounter between the two women.

“I’m almost certain that Kate just doesn’t want me to end up with Matt,” says Abbie, who is probably right on the money, tbh.

“I’ve gotta be honest… I was surprised to hear that you had come down to the final two,” Kate tells an incredibly uncomfortable-looking Abbie.

“She’s horrible,” a visibly distressed Abbie says in a piece to camera, before Kate is seen storming out of her chat with the 23-year-old property analyst!

“Kate has just left,” Abbie is heard saying through tears. “Like, what the actual f–k?”

(Don’t stress, babe, maybe she just needed a toilet break.)

Yeah, okay, we don’t actually believe that’s what was going on. Because Kate made her feelings about Abbie pretty clear when she joined Matt and co. for a grilling at the mansion a few weeks back…

“Abbie seems lovely but she said in one sentence that marriage isn’t necessarily the be all and end all for her, and then in another part of the conversation was that she’d be ready in five years,” she told Matt during their debrief.

“I think she’s saying what you want to hear.”

Oooooh awky…

Throw in the fact that former contestant Sogand Mohtat also told Kate how she feels about Abbie (hint: it’s not good), and the 23-year-old was definitely in the best friend’s line of fire.

Matt was, understandably, shook.

It’s a bit of a bombshell, to be honest.”

But it wasn’t enough to get Abbie – who’s been at the centre of basically every drama we’ve seen so far this season – sent home.

While, of course, I value Kate’s opinion, I know what Abbie and I have,” revealed Matt, “and I’m not sure that I’m ready to throw that all away.”
