Farmer Jack will officially join the FWAW family on May 26, 11 episodes into season 15. Hailing from Tasmania, Jack is a 26-year-old dairy farmer, known to pals as “Steady Eddy”. Here’s everything we know about the FWAW newcomer, and his quest for love on the show.

Who is the new farmer on Farmer Wants A Wife? Meet Farmer Jack

Jack can be summarised by his nickname, “Steady Eddy”. Given to him by friends, he earned the name through his reputation for being hardworking, honest and always sticking to his guns. (Naturally, this bodes well for him in a competition show in which he must choose from eight women.) Jack, 26, is from Sheffield in the north of Tasmania, about an hour’s drive from Launceston. He’s a dairy farmer by trade, but has a number of colourful interests, including restoring vintage cars and playing guitar, drums and bass.

As for his “type”, Jack is looking for a “girl next door” who enjoys the simple things in life. “[I want] a girl who is family orientated, with a good sense of humour and is willing to move to the country for me,” he tells Channel 7. Despite his young age, Jack is hoping kids are on his horizon—”two or three children (at least!)”, to be specific.

If you’re wondering what Jack brings to the table, he says its his “dependability”. He prides himself on his work ethic, and loves cooking for his partner and listening to their needs. He’s also building a house.
