Meet Farmer Thomas’ ladies
The first episode of the new season saw Farmer Thomas get to know eight women through a series of one-on-one speed dates.
In the end, he chose five women to join him back on his farm: Clarette, Ellen, Claire, Rachel and Nat, but it was 35-year-old English teacher Clarette who became an instant front-runner.
“She took my breath away,” the farmer said after meeting her. “She’s beautiful.”
Are you a believer in love at first sight?
I think attraction can be instant, but real love grows over time. It’s about building trust, sharing experiences and really getting to know each other.
What made you sign up for the show?
I was nominated by a good friend – and I realised what I was currently doing wasn’t working. I’ve always been open to trying new things and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to put myself out there.
