The countdown to a brand-new season of Farmer Wants A Wife is officially over, and there’s one farmer who’s got both his heart and his land wide open for the right woman.
Meet Farmer Tom, a 31-year-old sheep farmer from Borambola, NSW, who was surprisingly signed up for the show by his mum and friends!
Now, he’s ready to swap the solo farm life for true love — but what does it take to win his heart?

Meet Farmer Tom’s Ladies
In the second episode of the season, Farmer Tom met eight women before a round of speed dating to determine who he wanted to invite back to the farm.
Following the round of one-on-one dates, Farmer Tom made his choice, eliminating three before inviting Eliza, Emma, Emmie-Rose, Georgie and Bridget back to his farm to get to know them better. Despite choosing five women, there was already one clear front runner, Eliza, whom Tom went on to invite on a 24-hour date.
It hasn’t been exactly smooth-sailing since, with two of Farmer Tom’s chosen women opting to leave the farm within the first 24-hours.
Choosing not to even say goodbye to the farmer, both Bridget and Emmie-Rose left the farm.
“My time is precious,” Bridget shared with producers as she left. “I wanna get back to Sydney and see my family and friends.”
“We gave it all we could,” Emmie added. “But what’s the point in staying if there isn’t something there that both of us want to pursue?”

Do we already have a spoiler for Farmer Tom’s season?
Has Farmer Tom’s FWAW storyline already been leaked? Eagle-eyed fans spotted a telling sign that Farmer Tom does not end up with Emmie-Rose.
Despite choosing the 29-year-old fitness coach as one of his ‘top 5’ ladies to join him on the farm, internet sleuths noticed the contestant has already hard-launched a new relationship on her Instagram account.
In March, Emmie-Rose shared a video of her and a man named Alex working out at a gym together, captioning the video: “Training glutes with your boyfriend.”
And it proved to be true, when Emmie-Rose walked out of the third episode alongside fellow contestant Bridget.

What inspired you to sign up for Farmer Wants a Wife?
My mum and some close friends signed me up, so the phone call came as a surprise!
How would your friends and family describe you in three words?
Stubborn, determined, opportunistic.
What qualities are you looking for in your ideal woman?
A lady who is nice, different, unusual. Someone who is a glass-half-full type who doesn’t hold a grudge, and has her own aspirations and dreams in life. A lady who is caring and loves animals and doesn’t mind having a few poddy lambs in the garden. A lady who is honest and open with me and has an anything-is-possible attitude, which is really important. She also needs to know how to mix with a wide range of people. Let’s not forget she needs to be happy and positive with life, value nice things and be willing to work to get them.
What should potential dates know about dating a farmer?
Dating a farmer is full of positives. You can have as many pets as you like, unless it’s a cat! Plenty of space and fresh air. The only downfall would be when things stuff up, you’re the only one able to get yourself out of the situation.
What’s the most romantic thing you’ve ever done for someone?
I organised a candlelit dinner by the beach followed by an amazing back massage, then a cheeky skinny-dip somewhere quiet – without being eaten by a shark.
Do you believe in love at first sight?
I do fall hard and fast. I find if I have a strong attraction for a lady at the start, my mind doesn’t stop thinking about her and our possibilities. I am somewhat love blind and it takes me a couple of months to open my eyes, but I have been working on being more aware earlier on.
How do you feel about putting your love life in front of the whole country?
I am really looking for that special someone to share my life with so I don’t see any major issues with the whole country trying to help me make this happen!
