Farmer Wants a Wife may have ended earlier this year, but audiences are still learning new surprising details from the season as Farmer Tom and Krissy Smith speak out.
29-year-old Krissy has revealed to So Dramatic! that she felt blindsided when Farmer Tom dumped her in the final episode of the 2024 season, admitting to the publication they had a “sexual relationship” throughout the show.
“You can imagine how shocked I was to be sidelined at that point,” she explained in a later interview with Yahoo Lifestyle. “When I met Farmer Tom we had a connection straight away. It was obvious to me that I was his first pick and I am embarrassed to reveal we slept together on the first night at his farm…the connection felt real.”
“He told me that I was his priority and I had no reason to believe he was interested in anyone else,” she added. “We had a sexual relationship right up until the day I was told he was not going to choose me in that finale. You could imagine how shocked I was to be sidelined at that point.”
Shortly after her interview, Farmer Tom, who ended up choosing Sarah at the end of the season spoke with the So Dramatic!, explaining he felt no need to share intimate details about past relationships.
“I don’t feel the need to comment as it was a long time ago for me, and I have moved on,” the 22-year-old said. “I also don’t feel the need to share my intimate relationships with the public.”
“I’ll continue on with my life and hope I find someone who makes me happy and build a life with them,” he continued. “And hope everyone else from the show finds what they are looking for, too.”
Although the 22-year-old farmer left the show with Sarah, the pair took to Instagram shortly after the reunion aired to confirm they had since split.
“Unfortunately, that lifelong love that I was seeking with Tom did not turn out the way that I had hoped it would, but it’s definitely a relief now to put that truth out there that Tom and I are no longer together,” Sarah wrote at the time.
“Relationships don’t always work and people are not always who you think they are. I can hold the knowledge that I gave my all to the experience and our relationship during, and since, the show, and I am really proud of that.”
