In a lavish wedding ceremony in March, former Miss Universe Australia, Monika Radulovic said “I do” to her fiancé, Alesandro Ljubicic.
However, the couple didn’t have much time to enjoy the early days of their married life, as shortly after their big day, Monika was whisked away to Samoa to film Survivor Australia.
“My wedding was a month before I went on the island and I joke that Survivor was my solo honeymoon,” she laughs to WHO.
“I went away to a tropical island without my husband!”
The one thing Monika missed the most from home during her time on the show was her husband.
“I would have given anything to have a one-minute call with him,” she said. And her husband felt the same about her. “When I got home I saw how much I am a big part of his life,” she says.
“He made me videos while I was away. If he was out and about or came home from work … he recorded what he would say to me if I was there. It was amazing.”
