The Block is serving up some serious twists this season. From a new location in Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula to all the contestants sharing a house while they compete against each other, audiences can expect the “competitive tension” to reach new heights for its 22nd season.
This year, five teams from all over Australia spent three months living and working in close quarters while they tackled one of the hardest briefs in The Block history — quiet luxury.
The teams have to create “light, white and bright” spaces in homes that boast oceanfront views, all while working within council noise restriction hours.
The lots are some of the biggest in the show’s history, too, so it’s no small feat.
As intense challenges and high-pressure situations collide, the contestants revealed to WHO before the show aired that fans can expect many “highs and lows” this season as teams are pushed to the brink.
One contestant even admitted they were worried about how they would come across with the edit, and what would make it into the show without context.
If you need to acquaint yourself with this year’s contestants, look no further.
