The Voice Australia has finished its thrilling 2024 season, with Reuben officially crowned winner after a nail-biting finale. The season saw three brand-new coaches taking a seat in the iconic red chairs – but it wasn’t without its drama.
Now, as fans look towards the 2025 season, we finally have confirmation of the new coaches – and there’s been quite a change.

Who are the coaches on The Voice 2025
In January 2025, the Seven Network announced the new coaches of The Voice Australia, with three new faces taking seats in the iconic red chairs.
Melanie C aka Sporty Spice, GRAMMY Award-winning singer-songwriter Richard Marx, and multi-platinum-selling hitmaker Ronan Keating will join returning coach Kate Miller-Heidke for the upcoming season as they compete to unearth and guide Australia’s next vocal sensation.
“I am so incredibly excited to be joining The Voice Australia in 2025,” Mel C shared following the announcement. “I have always cherished my trips down under over the years, so to be there with such a super lineup of coaches in one of my favourite countries is a real honour.”
“I’ve had a love affair with Australia since I first set foot on Aussie shores nearly three decades ago, so I can’t wait to get back to the country where I also met and fell in love with my wife,” Ronan added. “A country that I now have family and feel right at home in. To be back in the big red chair on The Voice Australia in 2025 is going to be really special.”

Is Keith Urban joining The Voice Australia?
In late 2024 fans got excited after rumours emerged suggesting Keith Urban could be returning to the singing competition. An insider speaking to Yahoo! Lifestyle revealed an executive producer of the singing competition had a coy answer to whether Keith Urban would return.
“The answer was not a ‘no’ and Keith revealed he “does miss coaching and being home in Australia,” they reportedly said of the country singer who coached the competition in 2012, 2021 and 2022. “There is also a big tour for Keith in Australia next year and if they can all be back here in the country when filming gets underway Keith might make his 4th return to the singing competition.”
“It [Keith returning to The Voice] might be a good opportunity to have the whole family back in Australia and give Nicole a break…Keith likes to keep busy and he never minded the long shoots on The Voice Australia.”

Speculation continued to grow after Guy Sebastion announced he would be leaving the series after six years as a coach.
“I have made the decision to take a break from the best red chair on the planet,” he said in a long post to Instagram.
“It’s been six amazing years as a coach and it’s honestly been the best gig ever! I have nothing but good things to say about the show itself, and sharing the panel with such amazing coaches has been a pleasure. It’s been a privilege to guide the next wave of Aussie talent alongside the wonderful teams and crew at Network 7 and ITV Studios!
“The best thing about the show is how positive it is and how much care and passion goes into making it a safe place for artists. I am busy planning shows in Australia and worldwide and I am really looking forward to getting out and connecting with you all there. For me right now, it’s time to focus more on my core, which is writing and performing new music.
“For too long now, I have been reading comments from you asking when I will be visiting your town/country and it’s high time I come and visit! I’ve worked on this upcoming album for four years and I’ve poured everything I have into it, so I need to pay respect to that effort and the art I’ve created.
“Whoever has the audacity to take my chair, don’t get too comfortable…I will wrestle for it back with zero dignity when I’m ready to return.”

Who were the judges on The Voice Australia 2024?
In 2024 Seven announced that international stars Adam Lambert and LeAnn Rimes, alongside Aussie Kate Miller-Heidke, would be joining returning coach Guy Sebastian for the season.
“We’re beyond thrilled to have four of the world’s greatest vocalists discovering and coaching a new wave of Australian artists this year,” Angus Ross, Seven’s Chief Content Officer, Entertainment Programming shared in a press release at the time. “With LeAnn, Adam, Kate and Guy in the spinning red chairs, it’s going to be the best season yet!”
The season saw Reuben De Melo, an indie folk singer-songer writer coached by LeAnn Rime win.
