They’re the fresh faces that made our childhood what it was, but what happened to the stars who were our age and managed to deliver some of the funniest one-liners on some of the best shows throughout ’90s? We’ve investigated.
Jonathan Taylor Thomas
The hunky star won over millions of female hearts as Randy, the middle son of Tim “The Toolman” Taylor and his wife Jill on hit 90s show, Home Improvement. The attention proved too much for the child star, who turned his back on Hollywood in favour of a more low-key life out of the spotlight.

Danica McKellar
As Winnie Cooper, the pretty brunette won millions of fans and the heart of Fred Savage’s character Kevin in The Wonder Years. After the show ended, McKellar swapped the small screen for a writing career and has penned a number of books about girls and maths, including, Girls Get Curves: Geometry Takes Shape.

Jaleel White
The catchphrase ‘Did I do that?” was legendary in the 90s all thanks to actor Jaeel White’s iconic supernerd character Steve Urkel in hit comedy, Family Matters. After the show’s nine-season run, White spoke about the difficulties landing other projects saying, “That was tough because I had people asking me, ‘Well, what are you up to these days?'” White says. “And it’s like, ‘You didn’t catch me playing my detective turn on Lifetime last week?'”

Andrea Barber
Who didn’t love the witty and hilarious Kimmy, the best pal of DJ in Full House? When she show ended, she disappeared from our screens and went on the focus being a mum and a wife before her turn in Netflix show Fuller House.

Melissa Joan Hart
The likeable child star grew up on our screens as Clarissa in Clarissa Explains it All and the bewitching Sabrina in Sabrina, the Teenage Witch.
She went on to join 90s star Joey Lawrence on the ABC Family sitcom Melissa & Joey but these days is more comfortable in the role as devoted mum to her three sons at their home in Connecticut.
