After the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor (former Prince Andrew) for suspicion of misconduct while in public office, King Charles promised it was business as usual.

“My family and I will continue in our duty and service to you all,” Charles said in a statement.

The former Duke of York was released on February 19 around 10 hours after being taken into custody on his 66th birthday.

Police have said investigations into the allegations are ongoing.

While some of the senior royals might like to lay low until the scandal blows over, they’ve kept up with their busy diary of engagements.

Here is how they’ve handled the days afterwards:

Prince and Princess of Wales

The Prince and Princess of Wales put in a glamorous appearance at the Bafta Awards on February 22.

William attended in his role as the president of the British Academy of Film and Television.

Their attendance was a last minute confirmation.

Kate wore a pink Gucci gown for the event. William’s burgundy velvet jacket coordinated with his wife’s belt.

While the pair were certainly ‘carrying on’ while their royal duties, William admitted it wasn’t necessarily a ‘keep calm’ situation.

While discussing some of the films, the prince admitted he hadn’t seen Hamnet as he’d had a lot on his mind.

“I need to be in quite a calm state and I am not at the moment,” William admitted. “I will save it.”

Duke and Duchess of Sussex

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle haven’t addressed the events of the past few days, likely as part of their attempt to mend fences with the King.

However, Meghan did share a celebratory post on her As Ever business Instagram account on the weekend following Andrew’s arrest.

A carousel of images showed the Duchess of Sussex preparing a tray of 2021 Vintage Napa Valley Brut.

The images showed Meghan pouring the wine into glasses containing raspberries.

“A simple hosting tip we always return to,” the caption read.

“Chill your brut well, pour slowly, and finish with a few fresh raspberries for garnish. Effortless, unfussy, and just celebratory enough for an easy evening in or before a fun night out.”

While Harry is yet to comment or post since the arrest, a source told People (a magazine Meghan has been known to work with in the past) that he had been frustrated by comparisons to his uncle.

“It was never fair to lump them together,” the source said.

“Harry served his country, did the job well and never engaged in misconduct — yet lost security and housing, while Andrew was protected for years.”

King Charles

Within hours of his younger brothers arrest, the King was sitting in the front row at London Fashion Week.

As he arrived at The Strand for the event, two journalists called out questions to the King.

“Do you have any reaction to the arrest of your brother, Sir?” one called out.

“Your Majesty, how are you feeling after your brother’s arrest? Have you spoken to your brother Your Majesty?”. He did not comment, however, earlier in the day, the King had released a statement.

“I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office. What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities. In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and co-operation,” Charles said.

“Let me state clearly: the law must take its course. As this process continues, it would not be right for me to comment further on this matter.”

Camilla waved to the crowd but didn’t respond to the question.
