Hey girl… Ryan Gosling likes you. A lot. In a new interview with ES Magazine, the 35-year-old star of The Nice Guys declares a clear victor in the centuries-old battle of the sexes.

“I think women are better than men,” he says. “They are stronger. More evolved.” Gosling, who welcomed a second daughter (Amada Lee Gosling) with partner Eva Mendes in April, adds that living in a femme-heavy household has opened his eyes. “You can tell especially when you have daughters and you see their early stages, they are just leaps and bounds beyond boys immediately.”

Gosling also seems to endorse Hillary Rodham Clinton for the upcoming US presidential election, saying that “I think [America] needs a woman’s touch. I was brought up by my mother and older sister … My home life now is mostly women. They are better than us. They make me better.”

He even admits that he’s “49 per cent” woman, with one caveat: “Sometimes 47 per cent. It depends on what day you catch me.”
