Rumours have swirled for months about the status of Home and Away star Sam Frost’s relationship with boyfriend Dave Bashford.

While pair avoided officially commenting on whether they’re still together, various media reports in January claimed they were done and dusted.
However, when Sam commented on how grateful she was for Dave’s support during tough times during an interview with TV WEEK in May, it threw a spanner in the works as it suggested the couple were still an item.
On Tuesday, the actress broke her silence once and for all as she confirmed she and Dave were over.
Taking to Instagram, Sam shared footage of herself and her dogs from her TikTok account, where she had been mocking the viral “couplechallenge”.
Tellingly, she added the hashtag “31singleandfabulous” and Dave, 27, was no where to be seen.
A representative later confirmed the news to Sydney Confidential, with a a statement from a spokeswoman reading: “Sam Frost and Dave Bashford are no longer in a relationship. They remain great mates.”
Former Bachelorette star Sam first confirmed she was dating navy diver and longtime friend Dave in July 2017, telling The Daily Telegraph at the time: “I feel really blessed to have a friendship that has turned into something more. It’s nice to be able to share [my career success] with him.”
Speculation has since been rife there was trouble in paradise and photos of the couple together haven’t appeared on Sam’s Instagram since September last year.
In January, a source close to Sam and Dave confirmed they’d secretly called it quits.
“It all became too much for Sam who was going through a lot. Her career was taking a new path and her mental health was definitely not where it needed to be,” the insider revealed to Woman’s Day.
“When things are good, they’re both very happy, but the lows are bad. They argue over trivial things.”
Unlucky-in-love Sam first entered the public eye in 2014 on The Bachelor where she won the heart of love rat Blake Garvey, only to be brutally dumped after the finale for second runner-up Louise Pillidge.
She then went on to become Australia’s first Bachelorette and dated winner Sasha Mielczarek for 18 months before splitting.
