Buckle up, kiddies, because Married at First Sight Australia is back on our screens and, frankly, we’ve not been this excited since the idea of a 4-day work week was floated (and subsequently forgotten).
This year, a new crew of men and women live in our minds rent-free as we ponder what could possibly possess them to up and marry a perfect stranger.
One of the grooms taking the plunge is 33-year-old Scott McCristal, who is hoping that the experts and producers have found him his soulmate in Gia Fleur.
Who is Scott McCristal?
Scott is described as a “confident, car-loving adrenaline junkie”, so he is probably more than equipped to take on the rollercoaster that is MAFS. And Gia by what we’ve seen so far!
As someone who runs multiple businesses, Scott aspires to build an empire and is determined to live a life of luxury.
The Queenslander says he will not settle for anything less than exceptional, but, as a workaholic, he will need to find a way to relax a little and make room for the right person.

What is Scott looking for in a wife?
So, what does the right person look like for this career-focused fellow? Ideally, someone who can “support him” while he works towards success.
The problem is, Scott has found that in the past, he has lost himself in relationships, falling out of his routine and losing sight of those big goals. This has led to him leaving no time or space for romance, which, ultimately, has left him feeling lonely and eager to make the right connection.
Given his looks and cheeky personality, Scott finds that people often misjudge him – pegging him for a party boy or a player. However, underneath his boisterous and thrill-seeking persona, Scott swears he is just a big old softie looking for true love.

Are Scott and Gia still together?
A source told Chattr that the couple did last the length of the experiment, but not because of love.
The insider explained that Scott strung Gia along to get more airtime for his business… yikes!
“He only talks to one person from the show now, and at the last Dinner Party, he said he was too good for everyone and that they’re beneath him,” the source revealed. “He said to his wife on camera that she wasn’t his calibre.”
However, as we all know, the contestants are not in charge of their social media until the series has been fully aired, so we won’t know for sure what happened between the pair until they can confirm it themselves.
