The Look at Her Now singer showed off the matching arrow tatts on their lower thumbs on Instagram with Justin Bieber’s ex explaining: “It’s tatted … my arrow points to you forever.”
On Monday night, Selena joined Julia on stage at her concert to perform their duet, Anxiety.
Following the performance, Julia wrote: “I’m kind of convinced these last few days aren’t real. Thank you @selenagomez for the most epic headline show I’ve ever played. I love you beyond words and I’m so happy we finally got to sing our baby together.”
Despite people often focusing on her love life with the likes of The Weeknd and Justin Bieber, she has also been dealing with far more important issues over the past few years after being diagnosed with lupus. Her condition is so serious that in 2017, she underwent a kidney transplant, something which impacted her weight and made her address her body image for the first time.
In a new interview with Giving Back Generation, Selena revealed that taking medication for lupus had a direct impact on her weight.
“I have lupus and deal with kidney issues and high blood pressure so I deal with a lot of health issues and for me that’s when I really started noticing more of the body image stuff,” she said, before going on to explain that though the condition doesn’t directly affect her weight, “it’s the combination of all of it. It’s the medication I have to take for the rest of my life—it depends on even the month, to be honest. So for me, I really noticed when people started attacking me for that.”
She continued: “In reality, that’s just my truth. I fluctuate. It depends what’s happening in my life. Right [it’s totally out of my control], and that got to me big time. I think for me, that really messed me up for a bit.”
