Take a listen to the debut from the Norwegian singer

Twenty-two-year-old Norwegian synthpop singer Sigrid has spent the past couple of years racking up all sorts of critical acclaim, and now her debut album, Sucker Punch, is out.

In 2018, she won the BBC’s Sound of… poll, a title previously taken out by Sam Smith and Ellie Goulding. She’s also put together an impressive debut, which, except for a couple of more subdued moments like “Level Up” and the heart-rending “In Vain”, pretty much consists of wall-to-wall bangers, like the title track (which you can hear below).
Alongside debut single “Don’t Kill My Vibe” and UK top 10 hit “Strangers” are the just as hooky “Mine Right Now” and “Sight of You”. Stream it now to get your weekened started. (Out now) 4.5 stars
