Whether you were pleased or not with the ending of Stranger Things, you can’t deny that it was an epic show.
It wouldn’t have lasted five seasons if it wasn’t! And although the beloved series has ended, there is one more surprise.
As a treat to their loyal followers, Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer, announced a behind-the-scenes documentary less than a week after the finale episode.
What is the Stranger Things documentary about?
One Last Adventure: The Making of Stranger Things 5 will showcase exactly what it promises.
The documentary will give fans a glimpse into the making of the show that they have supported since July 2016.
Sharing a sneak peek into the sheer effort and skill that went into the final instalment of the hit series.
The trailer opens with the cast at the final reading as Ross Duffer says in voiceover: “Writing the last lines these characters would ever say, it was really hard to do.”
As his twin brother Matt adds: “I remember more than anything just writing ‘End Series.’ Writing those two words having the biggest impact.”

The camera then pans to Noah Schnapp and Millie Bobby Brown who are crying on a couch because of the show ending.
Schnapp can then be seen cuddling into Cara Buono (who plays Karen Wheeler), as the trailer flashes pictures of the cast from the show’s earlier days- literal babies!
Adding even more emotion to the trailer- the song plays softly.
David Bowie’s song Heroes plays in the background- a melody that has become synonymous with Stranger Things.
The creators also allowed the documentary to go inside the writers’ room, as the Duffer Brothers discuss the fate of Eleven.
Later, we hear Millie Bobby Brown in a voiceover admit: “I’m not ready to let go.”
When is the Stranger Things documentary out?
One Last Adventure: The Making of Stranger Things 5 is set to premiere on Netflix on January 12.
What have the show’s creators said about the documentary?

In a statement accompanying the announcement, the Duffer brothers shared a bit about themselves.
“Growing up in Durham, North Carolina, we dreamed of becoming filmmakers, but Hollywood felt impossibly far away.”
The twins went on to say that after watching Peter Jackson at work in behind-the-scenes documentaries for The Lord of the Rings– they knew they had to!
Martina Radwan captured the Stranger Things documentary and it was produced by Angus Wall, Terry Leonard and Kent Kubena.
