Will there be a Season 5 of Only Murders in the Building?
Yes, there will be a Season 5 of OMITB.
It will premiere on September 9, 2025 and all subsequent episodes will be released weekly on Tuesdays.

Who will star in Season 5 of Only Murders in the Building?
Obviously, Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez will return for Season 5.
Also returning are Meryl Streep, Michael Cyril Creighton, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Richard Kind, Nathan Lane, and Téa Leoni.
But that’s not all!
Oscar winners Renée Zellweger and Christoph Waltz will join the cast in Season 5 as will Logan Lerman, Bobby Cannavale, Keegan-Michael Key, Beanie Feldstein, Dianne Wiest, and Jermaine Fowler.
Talk about a stacked cast list!
Although we’d expect nothing less after last season had Paul Rudd, Eugene Levy, Eva Longoria, Zach Galifianakis, Melissa McCarthy and Jane Lynch as guest stars.
How many seasons will Only Murders in the Building have?
So far, neither showrunner/co-creator John Hoffman nor co-creator Steve Martin have revealed just how long they plan to keep Only Murders in the Building going.
We hope the cosy murder mystery show continues for as many seasons as possible…
What happened last season?
Warning: spoilers ahead!
The gang spent most of Season 4 solving Sazz Pataki’s murder.
Charles, Oliver and Mabel were also heavily involved in the making of a film adaptation of their podcast.
Not to mention, the trio met the eclectic but delightful residents of the Arconia’s west side.
In the end, it was revealed that Sazz had written the Only Murders in the Building film script and her stunt protégé Rex Bailey (the film adaptation’s ‘screenwriter’ who’d been going by Marshall P. Pope) stole it.
And when she threatened to expose him, he killed her.
Season 4 ultimately ended with Oliver and Loretta getting married (in the cutest TV wedding we’ve seen in a long time).
But a few hours after the ceremony, Charles, Oliver, and Mabel were approached by a mysterious woman, who asked them to solve her husband’s disappearance.
They declined, but shortly afterwards discovered the dead body of the Arconia’s doorman, Lester.
It’s likely Season 5 will be centered around solving Lester’s murder and maybe the missing husband.
