After first capturing our attention in the second season of The White Lotus and then stealing our hearts as Dexter in One Day, Leo Woodall is set for a massive 2025.
Most notably of course is his highly anticipated turn in the upcoming Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy movie as the younger love interest to the hapless titular heroine. If anyone can help Renee Zellweger’s Bridget – not to mention the rest of us – get over the devastation of losing Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) it has to be this 28-year-old rising star.
Late in 2025, the British actor will also appear in the star-studded historical drama Nuremberg, alongside the likes of Russell Crowe and Rami Malek.
But while we wait not-so-patiently for Mad About the Boy to hit the big screen, you can catch Woodall leading the cast of new conspiracy thriller Prime Target.
Here’s everything you need to know about your next nail-biter.
What is Prime Target about?
In Prime Target, Leo Woodall stars as Edward Brooks, a brilliant young maths postgraduate who is on the verge of a major breakthrough.
According the synopsis, if Edward succeeds in finding a pattern in prime numbers, he will hold the key to every computer in the world.
Soon he begins to realise an unseen enemy is trying to destroy his idea before it’s even born, which throws him into the orbit of National Security Agency’s Taylah Sanders (Quintessa Swindell).
She’s been tasked with watching and reporting on the mathematicians’ behaviour. The pair soon start to unravel a troubling conspiracy, one that Edward is at the very heart of.
