What is Yellowjackets about?
ICYMI, Yellowjackets is the internet’s new favourite thriller series – mixing classic survival horror tropes with a healthy dose of psychological drama. Season 1 of the series kicks off in 1996 after a New Jersey high school girls’ soccer team plane crashes in the Canadian wilderness, leaving them stranded for 19 months.
As the team attempts to survive in the elements, things eventually begin to take a turn for the worse, with the girls slowly descending into madness. While they continue to battle against not just nature, but each other, the girls gradually begin to resort to some of the most dark and gruesome survival tactics. Jumping between two timelines, Yellowjackets also takes viewers 25 years into the future to follow the lives of the survivors as they continue to be haunted by their past.
