The 29-year-old, who starred on the 2018 season of Australian Survivor: Champions Versue Contenders, shared the news with her Instagram followers.

In the two photos uploaded, former Miss Universe Australia Monika wears a figure-hugging white dress with white heels and holding her bump whilst dad-to-be Alesandro cradles his wife, dressed in black jeans and a beige shirt.

“Just the 3 of us,” Monika captioned the snaps.

“We couldn’t keep our little peanut a secret any longer! We’re so grateful and excited for our little love growing inside. I’M GOING TO BE A MAMA!!!”

Monika also shared some insights via her Instagram Stories and revealed that many of her followers had been asking about her noticeably bigger boobs and who the doctor was that did them.

“My platform is all about being totally transparent with you guys and I thought that it’s time I’m open and honest with you so click my next post which will reveal all,” she said directing fans to her pregnancy announcement, followed by a cheeky wink to the camera.

Monika and Alesandro tied the knot in March 2018 – just a month before filming for Survivor kicked off.

Speaking to WHOthe model joked that Survivor was her “solo honeymoon,” but added that he was who she missed the most when she was on the island.

“I would have given anything to have a one-minute call with him. When I got home I saw how much I am a big part of his life,” she said.

“He made me videos while I was away. If he was out and about or came home from work … he recorded what he would say to me if I was there. It was amazing.”

In a chat with Now To Love shortly after her stint on the show, Monika admitted that she wanted to challenge herself “in every single way” adding that she “definitely did that.”

“It doesn’t matter how fearful you are, you don’t have to be the best but it’s about being courageous and doing your best,” Monika, who was part of the Champions team, explained.

“When I saw my team of these incredible elite athletes and Australian Olympians, I was so intimidated and there was no way I could ever live up to them in terms of my physicality but you can’t compare yourself, you just have to do your best and that’s what I took from it.”
