The loveable co-host of Today Extra announced the exciting news on Instagram this morning, revealing they welcomed a beautiful baby boy!
“Our beautiful boy, Oscar Hamilton Stefanovic 💙 3.4kg, deep blue eyes and perfectly healthy. He’s absolute magic. 💫” the 33-year-old captioned the gorgeous photo showing their newborn son sleeping in her arms.
Moments later, Karl Stefanovic’s brother Peter— who made his TV comeback as co-host of Sky News’ First Edition last year— told his Instagram followers that their life is “fantastic” since their bub safely arrived.
“We’ve got our own Oscar! I’m so unbelievably proud of @sylviajeffreys and our new best mate. Love is strong. Life is fantastic 💕,” he wrote alongside a photo showing his wife staring adorning at their tiny bub.
The couple shared they were expecting their first child together on August 19, taking to their respective Instagram accounts to also reveal the gender of their unborn baby.
“We’re having a baby boy and we’re totally over the moon,” Sylvia wrote, sharing a photo of herself with her husband.
Peter also shared a happy snap of the pair, writing: “Soon to be a family of three and we are rapt! Good thing I’m already match fit with the whole no sleep thing.”
The birth of their baby comes three years after the couple tied the knot in a stunning ceremony in Kangaroo Valley in 2017. The high profile duo said “I do” at the Ooralba Estate in front of dozens of Aussie A-listers. Peter popped the question a year before while they were vacationing in France and visiting a stunning vineyard in Bordeaux.
Peter and Sylvia met when they were poached to co-host Channel Nine’s breakfast program, The Weekend Today Show.
“We sort of bumped into each other in a car park at Channel Nine one day before we started hosting together … I think it was pretty obvious, certainly was to everyone around me – my mum and my sister, in particular, knew that there was something there,” Sylvia said of their courtship during an interview with the Sun Herald.
