Sitting down with KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O this morning, the beloved Channel Nine newsreader revealed she and her husband Pete Stefanovic have no plans to start a family anytime soon.

“What’s your thoughts on a child? Is everyone trying to push you now that you’re married?” radio shock jock Kyle Sandilands as the journalist.

“Oh that’s been happening from probably the first day of our honeymoon I think?” Sylvia coyly replied. “Oh well, you can’t really plan these things, can you? It happens when it happens.”

While the former Today newsreader made it clear babies are not on her radar, she shut down rumours it isn’t from a lack of passion.

“A lot of people are saying you and Pete won’t be able to get pregnant because you’re working at different ends of the day,” Kyle joked, to which she replied, “Well I can assure you we see each other enough.”

While on air, the 9 News Watch host weighed in on the now-infamous Ubergate scandal— involving her husband Peter and brother-in-law Karl Stefanovic—when asked whether she blamed Peter for launching an extraordinary attack on his former colleagues Richard Wilkins, Georgie Gardner and Mark Burrows while on loudspeaker.

“Were there any accusations like, ‘I can’t believe you had me on speaker, are you dumb?’ Anything like that?” Kyle asked the 33-year-old.

“No nothing like that, no accusations. It was just ‘Gee, we really stuffed this up’. It was a big old oops,” she replied.

Last year, the trio of journalists were caught in an embarrassing scandal when New Idea reported that an Uber driver had recorded a conversation in which Karl vented his frustration to Peter and Sylvia about his former Today co-host Georgie Gardner, who he accused of constantly “sitting on the fence”.

As well as claiming that Georgie needs to “step up”, an “angry” Karl also accused Dickie of keeping him from big entertainment stories and slammed Nine bosses for being “out of touch”.

After the drama erupted, Karl told the Kyle and Jackie O Show, “Channel Nine weren’t happy, and upstairs weren’t happy, and that’s fair enough.”

“Whatever comes out of my mouth, I’m responsible for, and if that brings the company into disrepute or whatever, that’s on me. I accept full responsibility,” the axed Today show host claimed.
