Briana DeJesus‘ mother has been diagnosed with lupus.
The Teen Mom 2 star’s mum, Roxanne DeJesus, took to twitter on Dec. 8 to reveal that after a series of blood tests, she had been diagnosed with the incurable autoimmune disease that causes joint pain and fatigue. (Briana, 23, retweeted the photo post on Thursday.)
“They weren’t kidding when they said it takes series of test to be diagnosed with lupus,” Roxanne captioned a photo of numerous blood samples snapped at the doctor’s office. “Thankful and grateful that I’m feeling so much better.”
In response to a Twitter user who sent her well wishes and encouraged her to drink lots of water, Roxanne replied: “Thanks/staying hydrated helps so that the veins won’t collapse.”
Briana, who is dating Kailyn Lowry‘s ex Javi Marroquin, shares daughters Nova, 6, with ex-boyfriend Devoin Austin, and 5-month-old Stella with ex-boyfriend Luis Hernandez.
Earlier this season, Roxanne confronted Hernandez about cheating on Briana. “You know, being that you was a little bit older, I was kind of expecting a little bit more from you,” Roxanne told Hernandez. “And I’m sorry that I put that pressure on you, because that was not my intent, but the truth of the fact is, I expected a lot more from you.”
“Oh my God, Luis, I expected — you’re 31 years old!” she told him. “I don’t know what to say, I’m just shocked. Shocked. This is bad.”
