MTV’s new Australian reality stars Georgina Manios, Akosita Masima, and Ammi Chambers share every detail on their pregnancy stories and lives as teenage mums.

Sutherland Shire’s Georgina Manios ‘I PLANNED MY TEEN PREGNANCY’
When Georgie was 15, she fell in love. Not long after, head over heels, she and her boyfriend, John, started planning to fall pregnant. “When I was 15 I met John and after we were together for a while, we wanted to start a family. We were really in love,” Georgie describes to WHO. “The discussions started when I was really young – which was stupid – I think I was 16.”
Having dropped out of school in Year 10 to become a qualified beautician, Georgie didn’t have to worry about juggling high school and a baby.
“It was after my 17th birthday that we started really talking about it,” she explains. “We were trying for two weeks and I fell pregnant.”
Even though they were actively trying, Georgie never expected it to happen so fast.
“It wasn’t a shock that it was going to happen, but it just happened so soon! My 18th birthday was not like a normal 18th birthday – I was pregnant. Everyone else was drinking and I was like, ‘Cool!’”
Since welcoming Evie, it hasn’t been smooth sailing for parents Georgie, now 20, and John.
“Our relationship is far gone. I just don’t like what he’s done,” she admits.
“We were together throughout my pregnancy, but it was very on and off. After Evie, we were fighting a lot and we broke up. Now, he’s with someone else. I’m not a fan of that whatsoever. She’s from his past. I’m not ever going to accept it because she was a friend.”
While their breakup wasn’t something she anticipated, Georgie says she’s OK with it.
“Even when we were trying to make it work, I still felt like a single mum and that’s when I said to him, ‘I don’t think we should be together. What’s the point? If I’m still feeling this way, I don’t think we should be together.’ It’s a slow process. I’m just better keeping that separate from my life. Evie sees him every second weekend.”

At 16 years old Ammi got the shock of her life when she found out she was pregnant.
“He wasn’t planned. I was 16!” she tells WHO. “It was terrifying and scary.”
However, breaking the news to her mum went better than she thought.
“Mum was really supportive. With most families there could be drama, but Mum was like, ‘If I yell at her, it’s only going to make it worse.’”
Ammi, (who is still with Evie’s father Jordan, 20) the father of her child, was two months away from giving birth to her little boy, Jiyah (now 17 months old), when she finished Year 11.
“I finished Year 11 when I was 30-something weeks pregnant and no-one knew,” she explains. “I went to a school and we wore free dress, but I didn’t get that big. Everyone was clueless. One day we had a baby and everyone was like, ‘What the f–k?’ We posted on Facebook and said, ‘This happened.’”
Now 18, Ammi is pregnant again with baby number two.
“I’m 25 weeks. I feel huge. I was a lot smaller with Jiyah,” she says. “This one also wasn’t planned. I’m just sick of being pregnant now. I’m like, ‘Get out of me!’ I was breastfeeding up until a month ago. He’ll wake up and be like, ‘Milk?’ and I’ll be like, ‘Absolutely not!’ It drains me being pregnant, drains me breastfeeding and I’ve got no energy for myself.”

Western Sydney’s Akosita Masima ‘I FOUND OUT I WAS PREGNANT AT 22 WEEKS!’
About to step onto the rugby field of Sydney’s ANZ stadium to play her grand finale, Akosita, 18 at the time, received a life- changing phone call.
“I went back to the sheds to get ready for the game and I got a call and I knew it was my doctor’s number. I answered and he was like, ‘Your blood tests came back through.’ And I was like, ‘Am I low in iron?’ And he goes, ‘You’re six weeks pregnant!’ Even at six weeks, I knew I was going to put my baby at risk, I won’t do that to my body so I sat out of my grand final.”
A few days later, 19-year-old Akosita, headed to her first scan.
“At my scan, the doctor kept giving me these confused looks and I said, ‘Is everything OK?’ I was thinking she was going to tell me the baby was gone. She said, ‘You’re not six weeks pregnant.’ And I was like, ‘OK, I’m not pregnant, so that means my parents aren’t going to kill me!’ But she turned around and says, ‘You’re 22 weeks pregnant! You’re having a boy.’”
Scared for what she’d unwittingly put her baby Andrew through, Akosita’s doctors did more scans.
“The doctor needed to do more scans to make sure everything was all right because I’d been playing so much contact sport. I was really scared. And he was!” she says. “He’s a little tough coconut. He was fine! My doctor was like, ‘Your baby is so lucky!’”
The 19-year-old’s partner Thomson lives with the Masima family, making it a full house.
