On tonight’s episode of The Bachelor, Matt Agnew revealed he’d found the woman of his dreams.
“My heart belongs to someone else.”
“I still vividly can remember seeing you walking down the red carpet, having that wow moment. I just had it again then, I think I’ve had it every time I’ve seen you. You reduce me to a schoolboy, I could get lost in your eyes And it doesn’t matter how I’m feeling, you make me happy and you lift me with a smile. I’ve…struggled with my emotions and second-guessebbd myself and this is the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make. But I have to be honest with myself and with you… ..my heart belongs with someone else. Um… ..I’ve treasured every moment we’ve had. And you deserve…”
Abbie cuts him off:”OK, that’s fine. Can you explain further why? “
He tells her: “It’s nothing… ..to explain, other than… ..just my heart.”
She replies,” OK. As long as you’re happy. That’s all that matters.”
She then tells the cameras, “Get… (BLEEP) ..away from me. I wanna go home.”

“It’s OK. I’m so completely fine. I feel fine. I’m mostly just mad about the flight home now. I’m honestly not upset. It’s fine. “
“You know, I’ll get over this before it even airs, it’s gonna be fine. … I’m just… Yeah, I’m just embarrassed. And I have to go home and just be like… “
“And, like, I will… I will get over this and I’m so resilient, so resilient.”
Before the final rose ceremony, Abbie professed:
“I am feeling really confident right now. I feel like every moment we have together is just so great and, yeah, we’re perfect for each other. All I can see is myself and Matt and I’ve got tunnel vision.”
“It couldn’t possibly not be me because of the way we are with each other. I know he has strong feelings for me so, like, I absolutely have his heart and I feel like we are so good together and there is no way that it wouldn’t be us at the end.”
“I’m honestly excited to get this over and done with and I am really looking forward to our future.”
WHAT A ROLLERCOASTER.
The final episode was rocky from the start. Drama escalated when she met Matt’s Melbourne family – best friends Jason and Kate.
Watch the shocking moment Kate decided to walk away from their conversation…
In classic Bachie fashion, the pair go one a very on-brand date: A chopper ride.
“I’ve never been on a helicopter before and I never thought my first time would be with Matt, um… ..on a chopper.”
Matt tells Abbie: “You really, truly are an incredible woman. And I’m just really grateful for this opportunity ’cause there’s… ..it’s hard to see how our paths would have crossed otherwise.”
Abbie professes her love, sharing, “I think we’d have an incredible life together and I can’t imagine anyone else creating a life with him… ..but me.”
We were introduced to Abbie before this season of The Bachelor hit our screens. The property analyst became the bud of a very awkward joke thanks to her astrological quip. The conversation went something like this:
Abbie: Lovely to meet you. What do you do?
Matt: I’m an astrophysicist
Abbie: OK! I’m a Gemini.
*crickets*
Matt: I’m a Leo
While she became a viral meme as a result of the blunder, Matt later cleared the air, revealing she was actually being sarcastic… mmm, sure!
Before they had the chance to go on a first date, Abbie and Matt infamously shared a kiss behind the other girls’ back during a steamy cocktail party. Her decision to smooch him struck a nerve with many of the other ladies vying for Matt’s heart, instantly making her one of the least popular contestants among the other girls.
After making it abundantly clear she was only in the mansion to form a connection with the 32-year-old, Matt and Abbie went on their first single date where they squashed a bucket of fruit with their feet. Yeah, it was really weird.
“The last few times we’ve spent together have been intensely physical I guess,” Matt said at the time. “I’m taking her on a single date so we can explore what this is.”

Their sexual chemistry reached a fever pitch during her final single date of the season. The loved up pair role played moving into a new house together, however they spent most of their time making out on a bed! At one point, Abbie even said, “hopefully he just wants to shag.” Alas, their date wasn’t all fun and games.
Things took an unexpected turn when Matt revealed that Elly had questioned her motives for being on the show.
“As always, Abbie and I have a massive sexual spark, however I know I need to slow things down,” he said, before explaining that Elly had accused her of joining the series to build her social profile.

Jetting off to Abbie’s hometown of Brisbane during their final date, sparks were flying between the pair as she not only introduced the hunky scientist to her family but (of course) enjoyed a few steamy romps along the way!
Dressed in a high cut leopard print bikini, Matt and Abbie took a dip in the pool where she candidly admitted: “Ideally, my top would be off right now.”
As they made out in the pool, Matt confessed, “It is very, very electric when Abbie and I are together. There is a lot of sexual chemistry and, yeah. I’m really lost in the moment with Abbie today. We are really enjoying each other’s company. But I’m very aware that there are currently two masseuses that I can only imagine are very uncomfortable with what’s going on.”

Although she was a favourite in Matt’s eyes from the get-go, Abbie was at the centre of every scandal this season. Solidifying her role as this season’s resident villain, Abbie made a few enemies when she not only kissed Matt at the cocktail party but dobbed her co-star Monique Morley in for calling Matt a “dog c**t” and a “disrespectful pig” behind his back.
After Abbie ratted on Monique, admitting she just “couldn’t bear keeping a secret from Matt”, the whole scandal blew up in her face.
“Woah… I would never, ever say that,” Monique told Matt at the time. “I am genuinely shocked because every time I talk about him to the girls it’s in a positive manner. It’s obviously something the other girls have said or made up to get me out of the house. I don’t speak that way at all.”

“The dynamic of this is not a fair situation,” an angry Matt told Monique at the time. “In an ideal world, I wouldn’t be dating this many people at once. I’m trying to understand why someone would say this. She denies saying these things. Maybe she didn’t say these things, at the moment it’s one word against another.”
