And with the grand finale mere hours away, we’ve been blessed with a first look at the stunning ring the astrophysicist plans to give to the love of his life! 

For the third consecutive year in a row, Larsen Jewellery is providing the stunning diamond. And apparently Matt worked very closely with the head designer to create the bespoke diamond!

Ahead of tonight’s episode, Network 10 dropped a sneak peek of the gorgeous band! In the new teaser trailer, we see a suited up Matt freaking out about who’s heart he is going to break, admitting it’s by far one of the hardest decisions he’s ever had to make.
“I want to walk away from this with the love of my life,” an emotional Matt says while holding a boxed diamond ring. “This is by far the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I just don’t know anymore.”
Staring at the ring, a nervous Matt stares at the ring as he says: “This affects my whole future and I want the right woman by my side.”

While at this point we’re not sure if it’s an engagement ring, or simply a “promise” or “commitment” ring, the 32-year-old recently hinted that things between the coupe have escalated and he plans to pop the question in the near future! 

When asked on Nova 96.9’s On Air With Smallzy Show whether he’s ready to take the next step, Matt responded by saying, “it’s heating up”.

Two seconds later, he revealed the last text message the winner of competition sent him— “Ready when you are :P.”

“I’m at a point in my life where I feel I’ve got a place to live; I’ve got a successful career; I’ve got a lot of things in the right place for me,” he said. “It’s the right time. I’m really excited to start that next chapter, which is marriage, kids, starting a family.
