We weren’t too surprised when Jimmy Nicholson chose Holly Kingston in this year’s emotional Bachelor finale. But for a second, when Jimmy first pulled out that ring, we thought a proposal was on the cards!
However, it turns out the Larsen Jewellery ring was a sign of Jimmy’s commitment to Holly and to stay the 100 per cent carbon neutral piece is stunning, is an understatement.
The bling features a 2.01ct oval centre diamond, layered with 10 round brilliant cut diamonds in the hidden halo and the diamonds are set in 18ct rose gold.
What’s more, the six marquise-shaped side diamonds are arranged in a completely unique way, and to represent Jimmy and Holly’s unique love story, there’s even a hidden halo underneath the ring.
The ring is estimated to be worth $38,000.
Of course, Jimmy was involved with designing the ring throughout the entire focus and said that sustainability was a key focus.
“After the initial consultation, we had a clear idea of the direction we were going to take. Jimmy wanted to create a beautiful everyday dress ring that didn’t fit the mould of a typical engagement ring,” Anna Knapp, Jeweller at Larsen Jewellery said.
“It was extremely important to him that the design was modern over traditional to represent his journey with Holly and reflect her inherent stylishness.
“Jimmy was drawn to rounded diamond cuts and designs that were of a more organic nature in comparison to angular square and rectangular cuts, that he thought looked too harsh on the finger, and a little old fashioned.”
During last week’s finale, Jimmy revealed that the ring symbolised the start of their relationship.
“For me, love is getting home from a tough day a work together and cooking. It’s me leaving a note on your pillow when I know I’m not going to be there when you get home, it’s having a fight, making up and growing from it, and I can’t want to experience all these things with you. That’s what this ring represents,” Jimmy stated, before presenting her with the custom-made jewellery.
“Hol I want you to know that I am in love with you and I can’t wait for what the future has in stall for us.”
