Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of The Bachelorette US has been cancelled just three days before it was set to air. Streaming service STAN confirmed to WHO that “The Bachelorette will no longer premiere on Stan on Monday” and fans are shocked by the latest development.

The upcoming season was originally scheduled to premiere this weekend, with The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star brought in to revive the show as ratings have continued to decline over the last few years.

However, the future of the show is now uncertain, and Taylor has just spoken about the cancellation.

“Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security,” Taylor’s spokesperson told TMZ.

“After years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm.

“Taylor has remained silent out of fear of further abuse, retaliation, and public shaming. She is currently exploring all of her options, seeking support, and preparing to own and share her story.”

Why was The Bachelorette cancelled?

Disney Entertainment Television released a statement on Thursday, March 19 after a video of Taylor and her ex Dakota Mortensen surfaced online.

“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time,” the statement read. “Our focus is on supporting the family.”

The cancellation comes days after reports of alleged domestic disputes between Taylor and Dakota, who also appears on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives (SLMW).

However, Taylor has previously been arrested for a dispute with Dakota in 2023, with footage of the arrest airing in the season one premiere of SLMW.

She was charged with assault, criminal mischief and domestic violence in the presence of a child for the 2023 incident, as reported by CBS News.

According to court records, Taylor pleaded guilty in abeyance to the aggravated assault charge in August 2025, and the other four charges were dismissed with prejudice, as noted by PEOPLE.

Last September, Taylor said in a Call Her Daddy podcast interview with Alex Cooper that these charges “were all dropped” and that she “never had hurt [her] daughter” and “never intentionally did anything with [her] children.”

Taylor said the whole incident was the “hardest time” of her life.

Earlier this week, on March 18, Taylor stepped out to promote The Bachelorette, and during an interview on Good Morning America, the reality tv star said it’s “been a heavy time to see the headlines” in what should be “a really exciting time” before the show airs.

Taylor was also meant to appear on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, however this was cancelled amidst headlines of the alleged domestic incident, as confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter.
