Season eight of ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ was nothing short of explosive. In 18 episodes, the series delivered what it promised— tears, feuds, great fashion, extravagant parties and the end of some very turbulent friendships.
Although the leading ladies may not have giggled when the panty scandal unfolded or when Dorit Kemsley demanded a different glass for her rośe, that didn’t stop any them from coming back for another season.
Season nine of RHOBH is set to return to our screens on February 13 on hayu.
Erika Girardi, Dorit Kemsley, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave, Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna, and Lisa Vanderpump are joined by a new housewife— Hollywood star Denise Richards.
Richards confirmed she would be appearing in the show last year.
“I am so excited as I am a huge fan of the show,” she told PEOPLE. “I am looking forward to spending time with all the ladies… and hopefully meeting Boy George. They’re a strong group of women,” she continued, “and I love that and I respect that.”
So far, she has been spotted hanging out with Lisa Rinna and in a short teaser for the season, we see Richards marry her boyfriend Aaron Phypers in a lavish Malibu ceremony in front of her co-stars.
Camile Grammer—a former housewife who made a few appearances last season— is also set to wed her partner in front of the cameras. The pair apparently tied the knot in front of her family, friends, and costars.
While her wedding was said to be beautiful, it was not without drama. Allegedly, longtime friend Lisa Vanderpump opted not to attend the ceremony.
But the drama with Vanderpump doesn’t stop there.
US Magazine reported that Lisa Rinna said the restaurant owner refused to film with the cast for six weeks. When a fan suggested her absence was due to her brother’s unexpected death, Rinna hit back.
“I too lost my father while filming and I completely understand that everyone’s grieving process is just that their grieving process,” she wrote. “She has chosen to not film with us. If you sign up to do a job you do it. No matter what. That’s show biz. I did it. We are all here to film a tv show that we all signed a contract to do it.”
Last season we saw Vanderpump and Kyle Richard’s friendship of over a decade fall apart. However, despite rocky times, Richards told Us Magazine that she hopes their friendship can survive. She also shut down speculation that this season’s cast had disinvited her to events.
“I love her, I really do. She’s a good friend of mine for many years and I love doing the show with her,” the tv producer said. “People saying, ‘Oh, she’s being bullied or excluded’ is not true. That’s not the case at all. So they’re going to have to watch this season and see themselves, but, you know, she’s always included, and I guess if she wants to come around and show up, she will.”
This season, Kyle will settle into her new house following a well-publicized robbery. She will also decide the fate of her clothing store.
As for Queen Erika, we can expect extravagant outfits, lots of diamonds and more of her right-hand man Mikey Minden as she embarks on an Erika Jayne National Tour.
Dorit will continue to work on expanding her swimwear brand while Lisa Rinna questions her career in acting. Meanwhile, Teddi will try and keep the peace as she adjusts to the newfound pressures of running her company.
