Mary-Kate Olsen has given a rare insight into her married life with husband Olivier Sarkozy.
In an interview for Net-A-Porter’s The Edit, the 30-year-old opened up about her surprisingly normal life.
“We’re lucky [working hard] comes quite naturally for us. We don’t need so much time to sit and think and ponder,” she said.
“But then I have a husband [Olivier Sarkozy], two stepkids and a life; I have to go home and cook dinner. I ride horses on the weekends.
“You find the thing that helps you relax and if you don’t have it, you have to look for it. Or you get burned out and then you’re not productive.”
The pair wed in 2015 in a private ceremony in New York. Her husband Sarkozy, is former French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s half-brother.
Mary-Kate and her twin sister Ashely also discussed their hugely successful fashion brand Elizabeth and James.
“We like to say that Elizabeth and James is the new luxury. It’s the idea that you can still have fashion, great fabrics and great fits at a lower price point,” says Mary-Kate.
