Relationships: Jess
After meeting in 2008, Jess had an on-again-off-again relationship with Ruby Rose for nearly a decade. However, in April 2018 after two years of officially dating, the couple confirmed they had called it quits.
“I’ve spent the past two years learning and sharing my life with an amazing human being,” Orange Is The New Black actress Ruby Tweeted about their split. “An experience for which I am very blessed.
“Break ups are always incredibly hard on the people involved but I can only be grateful for the experiences we shared. It’s with a heavy heart to share that Jess and I parted ways a few months ago. We still love each other very much and I will always support her and be her biggest advocate. With love x.”
Jess later opened up about their relationship on KIIS FM’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show, revealing their romance was “complex”.
“I’m still trying to come to terms with the reality of it every day so it’s really hard to explain to anybody,” the singer said. “There was just so much that happened, so much that I can’t even get into it. At the end of the day I think the most important thing to remember is that we’re all human beings, people have their struggles, people have their inner demons people have their own stuff going on.
“For me, it was time to leave that situation and be as happy and healthy as I deserve to be,” she finished.
With nasty rumours plaguing the duo for months, the model turned Orange Is The New Black actress took to Twitter to set the record straight.
While it was no secret their split was messy— with vicious rumours plaguing the pair for months before calling it quits— Ruby proved underlying issues still remained when Jess went public with her new partner, Kai Karlton. After sharing a photo of the couple, Ruby sarcastically commented: “Congratulations, so happy for you both.”
Jess quickly responded, writing: “@RubyRose I have requested you not contact me for over four months now. You have been given my grace of being ignored on every other private platform, so the fact you continue to ignore this to contact me here publicly under the guise of wishing me well, is continued harassment.”
Despite the minor hiccup, Jess’ and her boyfriend— who publicly identifies as a trans male (a man who was assigned the female gender at birth)—are still going strong, with the Untouched singer revealing on October 24 that her partner had proposed after one-year together!
Taking to Instagram, the beloved songstress shared three photos from the adorable proposal, two of which showed off her sparkling ring and another selfie with her future hubby!
“Happy 1 year & THE REST OF MY LIFE with you,” she captioned the happy snaps, revealing he proposed in Joshua Tree, California. “I’ve been happy crying for 2 hours. I’ve never felt so full.”
Kai also shared a close-up photo of the “Untouched” singer’s ring with his 41, 000 followers, captioning the post: “She said “yes” and I’m the happiest mf alive. @jessicaveronica here’s to a lifetime of love and memories. Thanks for being in my life ❤️”
Relationships: Lisa
After four years of dating, Lisa married her boyfriend, American actor Logan Huffman in November 2018.
The loved up couple tied the knot at The Chapel Montville in Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, surrounded by their closest friends and family. While the singer has remained tight-lipped about their special day, she told Vogue it was “the most magical” day of her life.
“This past weekend I got to marry the man of my dreams, in the dress of my dreams,” she also wrote on Instagram alongside a gorgeous black and white shot of her and her husband after the ceremony.
The couple announced their engagement in 2016, revealing her boyfriend— whose family lives in Indiana— proposed during a trip to Queensland.
“A month ago he burnt a blood-sucking leech off me while we were camping in the middle of the Queensland rainforest,” she wrote at the time, “then asked me to be with him forever. His love has been life-changing.”
The couple recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary, sharing a series of never-before-seen shots from their special day.
