Despite initial delays, TV Blackbox reports The Voice Australia is set to hit our screens on May 24, and as always, the winner will score a recording contract with EMI Music and a whopping $100,000 in prize money.
Of course, your four favourite coaches, Guy Sebastian, Delta Goodrem, Kelly Rowland and Boy George will also be returning and after Sonia Kruger’s shock departure, we have two new hosts in tow—Darren McMullen and Renee Bargh.

Darren— who hosted the show from 2012 to 2015— is equally as excited to return to the stage.

While filming of season nine was suspended in March due to the Coronavirus pandemic, they’re now on track and ready to find the next big thing.
The level of talent promises to be even higher this year, with TV Blackbox reporting that an international winner of The Voice will join the show alongside a fan favourite artist who scored the top stop on Australian Idol.
They’ve also changed the format of the show, with each Coach being allowed two blocks during the Blind Audition. This will deny the other Coaches the chance to win the contestants over with their convincing pitches.
The shakeup will also include the introduction of The Playoffs and Showdowns— two features we’re yet to know much about.
