Tom Cruise has reportedly banned ex-wife Nicole Kidman from attending their son Connor’s wedding.
The 24-year-old is set to marry his Italian girlfriend Silvia in a Scientologist ceremony and as a result, the Top Gun actor has demanded Nicole does not attend the nuptials.
“Tom would never even consider inviting Nicole to Connor’s wedding because she’s considered a ‘suppressive person’ by the church — and, second, he doesn’t want her there. Tom is behind this and what he wants is as good as law,” an inside source told RadarOnline, adding he is said to have made the call and “Connor followed”.
According to The Sun, Connor “worships the ground his father walks on” and wouldn’t go against the 56-year-old’s wishes.
This isn’t the first wedding Nicole has missed. In 2015, the actress didn’t attend her daughter’s marriage to Max Parker as they tied the knot in a Scientology ceremony.
Nicole and Tom married in 1990 and adopted Connor and his sister, Isabella, 26. After 11 years, the Hollywood couple split and Tom retained custody of the children who, at the time, were also devout Scientologists. Since then, she has been estranged from her kids who reportedly chose to live with their dad after the pair split. It’s been reported that Nicole blames the church of Scientology for the breakdown of their marriage.
