We may be stuck in winter in the Southern Hemisphere so you can bet we’re jealous of the ultra tropical location where Netflix’s Too Hot To Handle is filmed.

In the show which is back for a second season, 10 hot, sexually active singles from around the world are plonked on a tropical island with a ban on kissing, heavy-petting or sex as AI robot Lana keeps an eye on them.

According to Variety, the show’s cast and crew were secretly filming overseas before the two-season renewal was announced in January 2021.

But aside from the glaring sexual tension, we can’t keep our eyes off the luxury villa and its stunning, beachside location.

So where is it?

Nestled in the Caribbean on the islands of Turks and Caicos, the Too Hot To Handle villa can be found on the Turtle Tail Estate on the Providenciales island.

The five-bedroom luxury accommodation is set over 8,000 square feet and has two private beaches. It also features amenities including a movie theatre, gym and game room and celebs including Rihanna and P Diddy have holidayed there in the past.

When the world opens up again, you can stay at the Turtle Tail Estate as well, but the daily rate is an eye-watering $10,000 – that’s over AU$13,300! Plus, the villas are booked up until 2023 so bad luck.

In even better news, a third season has been signed off and it will be filmed at the same Turks and Caicos spot.

“The secret is out — we’re thrilled to bring back Too Hot to Handle for two new seasons in a tropical paradise,” Brandon Riegg, Netflix’s VP of unscripted and documentary series, told Variety earlier this year.

“Netflix members around the world fell in love with the hilarious antics of season one, and now fans won’t have to wait long to see our new contestants try (and fail) to follow Lana’s strict rules with plenty of twists and surprises along the way.”

Season one of Too Hot To Handle was filmed at a similarly luxurious villa in Punta Mita, a private peninsula located on Riviera Nayarit on Mexico’s Southwest Coast back in April 2019, way before the pandemic was part of day-to-day lives.

According to Trip Advisor, it costs up to $15,600 (approximately AU$20,788) a night to stay at the seaside villa.

“Netflix executives were like, ‘Find the most beautiful place in the world…Show us the place where the A-list of the world could only afford to go,'” producer Laura Gibson told OprahMag.com about how they picked the house.

“We literally scoured the world. We went everywhere. There was a really high bar—and this was the one.”

Celebrities including Leonardo DiCaprio, Gwyneth Paltrow, Beyoncé and Jennifer Aniston have all soaked up the sun on holiday there—and billionaire Bill Gates owns the Four Seasons Hotel.
