Soon after the finale of And Just Like That, fans of the Sex and the City revival were eagerly awaiting the next instalment in the lives of New York City’s most glamorous friends.
Luckily for them, they won’t have to stay waiting for too long, with season three officially on its way.

The series is set to continue following the lives of the beloved Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte as they navigate their way through the dramatic, and often complex, world of love, life, and friendship in their fifties.
“We are thrilled to spend more time in the Sex and the City universe telling new stories about the lives of these relatable and aspirational characters played by these amazing actors… here comes season three,” the series’ executive producer Michael Patrick King told Variety.

What can we expect from And Just Like That… Season 3?

As season two of And Just Like That… came to a close, viewers were on the lookout for any potential clues that allude to the future of New York’s favourite socialites.
The final episode of And Just Like That… season two saw the long-awaited reunion of Carrie Bradshaw and Samantha Jones, with the duo sharing one last phone call in Carrie’s fabulous New York flat before she moves into her new Gramercy Park home with her long-lost lover Aidan Shaw.
While the finale may have been named The Last Supper Part Two: Entree, many fans are still eagerly awaiting the main course of the story between Carrie and Aidan, with the final episode leaving fans with more questions than answers regarding the couple’s future following Aidan’s suggestion of a five-year break.
Many Sex and the City enthusiasts have already begun to speculate about the next instalment of the beloved reboot however, unfortunately for fans, the details surrounding the storyline of season three have been kept a closely guarded secret since the announcement of the show’s renewal.
While we can be almost certain that the next instalment of the series will see the return of Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon as the stylish Carrie Bradshaw, Charlotte York, and Miranda Hobbes, it is unclear as to whether Kim Cattrall will reprise her role as the spirited Samantha Jones beyond her brief cameo in the season two finale.
When is And Just Like That… Season 3 coming out?
Sadly for fans, there has yet to be any definite indication of when we can expect to see the dramatic lives of Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte return to our screens, however, it has been reported that And Just Like That… will return for season three in 2025.
Despite the vague timeline, it appears that production work on the season is finally underway, with many of the series’ stars sharing snaps from a recent pre-filming table read.
Speaking on the filming process, Sarah Jessica Parker told Table for Two, “The crowd control is an issue… You are asking everyone ‘Please be quiet when we call action.’ No cameras, no shutters… You can hear [paparazzi] shutters and it can ruin a take.”
Who is the cast of And Just Like That… Season 3?
Following the first table read on April 30, 2024, it is confirmed that Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon will all be reprising their roles for And Just Like That… season three.
Sharing snaps on social media, it has also been revealed that Rosie O’Donnell will be joining the cast as the new character of Mary. While it is unknown exactly what Mary’s relationship with Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte will be, we’re sure that the comedian will bring even more humour to the show.
Also returning to the season are Evan Handler, Mario Cantone, Katerina Tannenbaum, and Sarita Choudhury.
With production now underway, sources speaking to the Daily Mail have claimed that Sara Ramirez, who portrays Miranda’s former lover Che Diaz, will not be returning for the new season.
“Che brought nothing to the show anymore… After Che split with Miranda, the character really held no value anymore and fans found them annoying,” the source shared.
It has also been rumoured that Karen Pittman, who portrays Dr Nya Wallace, will also not be returning to the show as a result of conflicting production schedules following the conclusion of the 2023 Hollywood strikes.
