Zayn Malik has issued a desperate plea to his fans to help fund $205,000 life-saving treatment for his mother’s friend, Ayesha Daniels, 47, who has terminal lung cancer.
The 24-year-old shared a Go Fund Me page on Twitter to his 2.8million followers, asking them to donate to the cause.
“This is my Mums best friend. Please help in any way possible,” he wrote.
After the tweet went live, Zayn was slammed by his legion of followers for asking them to donate.
Many fans claimed that the former One Direction member is “rich” enough to fork out for the treatment without asking for help.
