2. Works of Art
“Artwork is a great way to add colour to a space without overpowering it,” says Davis.
“Instead of looking for a standard painting or print, try sculptured artwork, something that not only adds colour but also dimension to your space. Also, try a bright artwork that is monochromatic. This way you’re adding new colour trends to your space without it being loud and overpowering.”

3. Freshen up with florals
For an uplifting touch, Davis suggests a bright bouquet of fresh flowers which can instantly lighten up the space.
“I always think it’s best to look outside the box – artichoke flowers are a fantastic bright purple and often can be sourced at your local fruit and vegetable market.”
If you’re time-poor try decorating with faux florals, which can be just as effective.

4. Wonderwall
“If you are feeling brave, be dramatic and add some bright wallpaper to your room,” suggests Davis. “There are so many fantastic wallpapers available now and application has never been easier. Try Milton and King online – they have an amazing range of bright coloured papers that are very easy to hang.”

5. Final Touch
“You can’t go past textiles for adding colour and altering mood,” says Davis. Adding colour and texture through the simple addition of a lush throw or a statement tablecloth are easy ways to spruce up your space.
“When it comes to textiles it’s all about the base fabric,” she adds.
“I love a good velvet when adding a throw and a sheer is beautiful for a tablecloth.”
