Smoky Eye
The centrepiece of Wednesday’s soft goth makeup look has to be her subtle smoky eyes. Offsetting the traditional thickly rimmed liner style primarily donned in gothic makeup styles, Wednesday brings a light, youthful touch to the look with these very products:
Mac ‘Script’ Eye Shadow, $30 at Mac Cosmetics
To our upset, Mac’s ‘Script’ is not stocked in Australia! We’ve done the detective work for you, however, and found your closest shade, ‘Swiss Chocolate’. In a similar matte, reddish brown, the transition shade is applied on the bottom lash line and in the crease of the eye.

Mac ‘Carbon’ Eye Shadow, $30 at Mac Cosmetics
Wednesday's on-set makeup artist, Nirvana Jalalvand, softly lines Jenna Ortega’s eyes with Mac’s true black shade, ‘Carbon’.
Mac ‘Illuminaughty’ Dazzleshadow Extreme, $36 at Mac Cosmetics
While makeup designer Tara McDonald commands the use of Mac shade ‘Glitch in the Matrix’, their ‘Illuminaughty’ Dazzleshadow Extreme is an identical Australian alternative. The shimmery black shade is mixed with ‘Carbon’ to smudge on the top lash line.
Vampy Lip
Mac ‘Nightmoth’ Lip Pencil, $32 at Mac Cosmetics
Wednesday’s upscaled vampy lip has been the talk of the town- and we don’t just mean Jericho. Mac’s Lip Pencil in ‘Nightmoth’ has sold out across the globe, with waitlists already piling up for its restock. The dark plum shade is applied to the hand and mixed with a clear balm, which is then dabbed across the lips for that touch of Wednesday darkness.

Modern Braids
Wednesday’s twin plaits have received a contemporary makeover in Tim Burton’s latest Addams reimagination.
Tara McDonald modernised the well-known hairstyle by incorporating actress Jenna Ortega’s pre-existing curtain bangs. Wet down with a spray bottle, the hair and makeup designer applied a serum and blow dried the edgy fringe with a round brush. She finished off the look with a matte paste for texture and hold.
Aveda Light Elements Smoothing Fluid, $46 at Adore Beauty
Eleven Australia Matte Texture Styling Paste, $26.95 at Adore Beauty
Natural Base

To accentuate Jenna’s naturally freckled skin, a sheer skin tint was applied in a pale shade to achieve an ‘undead’ look.
To carve out her cheekbones, the on-set makeup artist used a combination of two Mac shades:
Mac Sculpting Powder Pro Palette in ‘Sculpt’, $37 at Mac Cosmetics
Mac Studio Fix Sculpt and Shade Contour Palette Medium Dark, $81 at Mac Cosmetics
In the shade ‘Shadowy’ Ortega’s cheekbones were further defined to emphasise the ‘sunken in’ look.
