Kevin Hart's wife, Eniko Parrish, has given fans an update on her husband's health after he was forced to undergo surgery following a horrific car accident.
"He's great. He's going to be just fine," she told TMZ while leaving the hospital where he was recovering.
Kevin, 40, and his driver Jared S. Black were injured on Sunday morning at 1:45 a.m. after the comedian's electric blue 1970 Plymouth Barracuda veered off the Mulholland Highway in Calabasas, crashed through a wooden fence and plunged down a gully. Kevin's wife was in the car along with their personal trainer Rebecca Broxterman.

According to Radar Online, Jared "immediately lost control of the vehicle, and the Plymouth left the road and rolled over down the northern embankment. Two of the three occupants were trapped in the vehicle. The remaining occupant and owner of the vehicle left the scene to his nearby residence to get medical attention.”
According to police, “the driver was located in the driver’s seat of the vehicle and determined not to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision."
Kevin— who was the first out of the vehicle— and Jared sustained "major back injuries" and were rushed to Northridge Hospital Medical Cente.
Upon arrival, a source close to the Hollywood start told The Blast that Kevin needed major back surgery. The outlet reported that while the Jumanji star, who is currently hospitalised in L.A., is undergoing a series of tests to determine the best course of treatment, doctors are optimistic that he will make a full recovery.
Kevin purchased the hot-rod vehicle as a 40th birthday gift to himself. Hours before the accident, he posted a video of himself sitting in the car as someone in the background yelled at him, claiming that he had been burning too much rubber.
“I added some more muscle to the family for my 40th….welcome home ‘Menace’ #MuscleCarLover," he captioned the video.
