The news of Beyoncé's replacement comes just five days after it was revealed she had to postpone her Coachella appearance due to her twin pregnancy.
"Following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months, Beyoncé has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival," a message posted on Coachella's Facebook page read. "However, Goldenvoice and Parkwood are pleased to confirm that she will be a headliner at the 2018 festival. Thank you for your understanding."
Gaga will now be first woman to headline Coachella since Björk in 2007.
The singer's reps are yet to comment on the announcement.
