Because whether dressed up to the nines or picking their kids up from school in jeans and a striped top, Kate, Mary and Meghan always look perfectly put together.

And when it comes to looking like a million bucks for a lot less, the royals have a secret- they often have a little help from Down Under.

Here are the favourite Australian fashion brands that are loved by the royals.

Zimmermann

Princess of Wales

This label founded by Aussie sisters Nicky and Simone Zimmermann is a favourite of Queen Mary, Zara Tindall and Princess Beatrice.

Though none made quite as big a splash, though, as the then Duchess of Cambridge when she stepped out in the Roamer Day Dress while visiting Manly Beach in 2014.

The $495 broderie floral stunner wasn’t even in stores yet, but instantly sold out in pre-sales.

“The response that we had was immediate and it travelled from around the world,” Nicky Zimmermann told Australian Vogue. “Obviously, it was a great thing for our brand globally, but on a personal level it gave so many people around Simone and [me] such a thrill.”

Moss & Spy

Queen Mary of Denmark

Despite being Australian born and bred, Queen Mary, 53, was introduced to Moss & Spy through her Danish husband when the then Crown Prince Frederik bought her a dress as a gift while visiting Sydney in 2017.

She’s become a regular customer ever since, donning her favourite Elodie dress on at least three occasions.

“People enquire from all over the world asking if we can just please do another run on that dress,” label founder and creative director Lia Tsimos told WHO.

“Mary’s elegance and her presence really resonate with so many women who want to capture a little piece of that.” Thanks to Mary making it so popular, the dress has been released in several colours.

Outland Denim

Duchess of Sussex

Outland Denim helps improve the lives of those working for it.

When Meghan Markle wore the brand’s Harriet jeans while visiting Dubbo in October 2018, the label quickly sold out, with the exposure and extra cash allowing the ethical and sustainable brand to employ a further 46 seamstresses in Cambodia, giving the women living wages.

“The ‘Markle Effect’ is real, but the reality is that it takes hard work from hundreds of people to create a brand good enough for royalty, and this includes the women sitting at their sewing machines crafting your beautiful jeans,” the company said in a statement.
