Leo Woodall, 29, has certainly had a wild few years. From starring in The White Lotus season two as the naughty Jack, to the dreamy Dex in One Day, and then as Roxster in Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, to name just a few of his recent projects, his career is definitely on the up!
Now, the star appears in the Netflix series Vladimir as the title character.
In the series, Rachel Weisz’s character, the show’s lead, who has no name, develops a dangerous obsession with Leo’s character.
And while Leo has worked with some incredible women, there’s one woman who has captured his heart: his White Lotus co-star and girlfriend, Meghann Fahy, 35.
How did Leo Woodall and Meghann Fahy meet?
The pair fell in love while shooting the show in Sicily and have been together for about four years now.
While filming the hit show alongside stars including Jennifer Coolidge and Theo James, Leo likened the experience to a European vacation. But this was one working getaway that included a little summer love.
“Because there were so many characters and so many storylines, there were so many days off,” he told People magazine. “A lot of it was kinda just one big holiday.”
When quizzed about his romance, though, Leo chose his words carefully.
“I hang tight to the best people in my life, and I don’t get too attached to the hoo-ha of the business,” he told Harper’s Bazaar. “I think the work is the reason why we do this, and aside from that, there’s some fun to be had. But apart from that, it’s pretty much just family and the cosy parts of life that are the things that I cherish most.”
In what’s been described as a “hard launch” of their relationship, on February 21, Meghann posted to Instagram a picture shot from behind of her walking arm-in-arm with Leo.
“Who is he?!” Leo commented cheekily.
In the months that followed, they were caught sharing a kiss in the rain while walking the streets of New York City, and while heading down the red carpet for the Emmys,
Meghann wouldn’t “confirm or deny” their relationship. “Suffice it to say Italy was good for me in more than one way,” she teased.
But at the after party, they let their hair and their guard down, with Leo wrapping his arms around his girlfriend tightly on the dancefloor.
Are Leo Woodall and Meghann Fahy still together?
In a Vanity Fair interview with Meghann that was published in August 2024, the publication noted that the star spoke to them via video call from London, where she had been “taking a breather with her boyfriend and former White Lotus costar Leo Woodall”.
The same interview saw Meghann make a rare comment reflecting on Leo’s success with One Day.
“I thought it was incredibly well done from top to bottom, and obviously the performances were my favourite part,” she said.
Speaking to Elle in February 2025, Leo said of his relationship, “We’re very good at keeping it as private as we can,” he says.
“To me, that’s the only way. You see public relationships all the time slapped over social media, and I can’t imagine that’s any fun.”
“I think that it’s just really great to be deeply understood,” Meghann told CBS Mornings in April 2025 about Leo. “There’s so many weird things about this industry and what we do, so I think there’s just something really lovely about being with somebody who really gets that.”
Meghann Fahy reveals how she and Leo Woodall first met
During an appearance on Penn Badgley’s Podcrushed podcast in January 2026, Meghann explained how she and Leo first met and eventually began dating.
“I was there before him for a bit,” she said, saying she was “genuinely” trying to be friends.
“When he got there, I saw him in the little area where we would have lunch, and I gave him my number.”
“I don’t want you to be lonely or feel like you don’t fit in,” she explained. “I was like, ‘You’re new here.’ I totally know how it is to show up late to something. It sucks. It’s like everyone’s been at camp without you, and they already made friends, and it can be quite vulnerable.”
A few months later, she said things turned romantic, “He was like, ‘I didn’t know that you were interested in me,’ and I was like, ‘I gave you my number. How did you not know that?'”
“He was like, ‘I didn’t think you meant that. I didn’t think you actually were giving me your number because you wanted to be friends with me.’ I was like, ‘Why else?'”
What movies and TV shows has Leo Woodall appeared in?
While Meghann is very complimentary of his acting chops, Leo always been humble about his international success.
“Hollywood was never really in the conversation, that was just a freak accident,” he told People. “When I told my family that I wanted to be an actor, a lot of them weren’t surprised,” he explained, saying he was a “very theatrical” child.
“[I was] one of those annoying ones that was just constantly wanting to perform for people,” he said. “When I decided that it was what I want to do, I was all in.”
Before hitting the big time, Leo picked up smaller parts in shows like Citadel and Vampire Academy. By 2022, he’d scored his big breakout role in The White Lotus.
“It felt very much like a stars-aligned moment when I got that,” he said. “I’ve done some really cool jobs and I’ve done some stuff that no-one saw.”
Leo made his on-screen debut in 2019 as Jack Reader in the BBC drama Holby City.
Since appearing in the standalone episode, Leo has gone on to appear in a number of critically acclaimed television series, including Citadel and Vampire Academy.
Notably, Leo starred as Jack in season two of The White Lotus, and his performance earned him the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
Two years later, Leo returned to our screens as Dexter Mayhew in the Netflix series adaptation of David Nicholls’ 2009 novel One Day, which gained widespread popularity on social media.
Most recently, the actor starred alongside Renée Zellweger in Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, with Leo playing Bridget’s younger love interest.
He has also since starred in Prime Target, Tuner, Nuremberg and now Vladimir.
