Chrissy Teigen’s high split 2016 American Music Awards red carpet gown garnered a lot of attention from critics.
The supermodel has hit back by “apologising” to anyone who was offended by the dress.
The 30-year-old took to Instagram to thank her stylists and glam team, writing: “#AMAs! love you so so so much — @jenatkinhair @1maryphillips @monicarosestyle @kimmiekyees (apologies to anyone harmed mentally or physically by my hooha). Dress is #yousefakbar and shoes are @dsquared2,” she wrote.
“Laser hair removal is @sevlaseraesthetics,” she continued.
Teigen, who arrived to the event with husband John Legend, took her Twitter off public and responded to a number of tweets criticising her outfit choice.
“I am pretty sure you can tell I’m a lady”, the star responded to a user who Tweeted “Underwear-free @chrissyteigen what happened to being a lady? #SMH”.

The mum-of-one also took to the AMAs stage in the same dress to introduce Legend’s performance of his latest song, “Love Me Now’.
“This next performer is a brilliant musician and a wonderful father, who makes a pretty damn good breakfast sandwich,” she said.
“He has been known to write love songs about me. What can I say, I’m very inspiring.”
“But his songs are bigger than either of us,” she added. “And on the heels of what’s been a really interesting, f***ed up f***ing election for all of us, we can all use a little love tonight.”
